Sectional Garage Door

Insulated as standard
Sectional doors have extremely good insulation values. This is due to the panels being 42mm thick filled with high density PU foam and aided by the deep EPDM rubber seal on the floor and double lipped side seals. The insulation value of any product is measured using U values with sectional doors achieving an average of 1.2W/m²K. As a comparison brand new windows and composite doors are around 1.4W/m²K with a lower number being better.
Electric as standard
Sectional doors come electric for higher security and to make your life easier. At the press of a button the garage door opens and closes automatically with the option to add integration into your smart phone. The motors also have a built in force detection should there be an obstruction for total peace of mind.

Technical
One question we get asked regularly is around space requirements as cars get bigger or you don't want to lose headroom. A huge advantage of sectional doors is they generally only require circa 140mm headroom for the tracks and motor which is less than up and over doors and roller doors. Side room is also improved over most other door types on the market requiring only 85mm each side.
Security
As far as security goes, sectional garage doors are up at the top. As standard they have a twin skin steel construction with a dense foam filling, 5 wheels on each side that sit in steel tracks and a motor that drives the door closed. We can also upgrade your sectional door to have Resistance Class 2 (RC2) or Secured by Design (SBD) classification for the ultimate peace of mind.
Options
The options list available for sectional garage doors is extensive with the ability to add windows horizontally or vertically, have the whole panel a window or the whole door a window. There are also 38 standard colours to chose from with the option to have any colour including Farrow & Ball.
There is also the ability to connect your door to a smart home system such as Alexa/Siri along with alarms, LED lights, stainless steel accents and more.
